The proposed work consists of the furnishing of material, equipment, and labor necessary for complete construction of a new single story golf clubhouse, including kitchen, dining, pro-shop and golf simulator area for Ellsworth Meadows Golf Club in the City of Hudson, Ohio, in accordance with the specifications which are on file in the office of the Public Works Department. Failure to appear by the start of the scheduled pre-bid meeting will result in a forfeiture of any costs of the contract bid documents/improvement plans paid by the Bidder, no future addendum notices will be given on this project, and the Contractor will not be permitted to submit a bid for the Project. A representative from each bidder is required to attend and provide proof of identification at the time of registration. Representatives are required to stay for the duration of the meeting in order to be eligible to submit a bid for the Project. Bids must be accompanied by Bid security in the form of either a Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond for the full amount of the bid, or a certified check, cashier's check, or letter of credit pursuant to Chapter 1305 of the ORC, in the amount of 10% of the bid, made payable to the City of Hudson. In the case of disruption of national communications or loss of services by Bid Express within two hours prior to the deadline for submission of bids, the City will delay the deadline for bid submissions to ensure the ability of potential bidders to submit bids. If this occurs, instructions will be communicated to potential bidders. PROJECT DESCRIPTION SITE DESCRIPTION The Ellsworth Meadows Clubhouse project is located at the subject golf course at 1101 Barlow Road in the City of Hudson, Ohio. The golf course is located on the north side of Barlow Road, and the proposed clubhouse will be located at the northwest corner of the existing parking lot. The site is currently developed with a pavilion and pavements with areas of grass and trees as well. An undated site plan was provided. The project includes a new 6,000 to 6,500 square foot clubhouse. The structure will be wood-framed and is assumed to be single story and slab-on grade. The loadings for this type of structure typically have wall loads less than 4 kips and column loads less than 25 kips. The site is generally flat with grades of approximately 1009 and 1010 feet. A final grading plan or finished floor elevation was not provided at the time of this report. Cut/fill depths for the building pads are not expected to exceed 2 feet.
