The two (2) reclaimed water tanks located at the site (5118 Phillip Road Roseville, CA 95747) need structural and coating rehabilitation work. The scope of work includes modifications to some structural components and recoating the interior steel surfaces of the tanks and recoating limited exterior steel surfaces of the tanks. Mechanical and electrical components are not within the scope of the rehabilitation work. The deadline for submission for questions and clarifications regarding the Contract Documents is May 10th, 2024 at 5 p.m. The Contractor shall begin Work within _21_ business days after receiving a Notice to Proceed and shall diligently prosecute the Work to completion. The Work shall be completed within _181_ business days of the Notice to Proceed. The Work shall only be completed during the months of October thru March LOCATION AND DESCRIPTION OF WORK A. The Work is located at 5118 Phillip Rd Roseville CA, 95747. The Work covers the rehabilitation of two 1 million gallon (MG) reclaimed water tanks, owned and operated by the City of Roseville. A summary of the work items is provided herein. 1. General work items for both tanks: a. Remove existing coating system by abrasive blasting from tank interior, including all appurtenances located in the tank, as well as the appurtenances located on the tank exterior shown on the Drawings. Abrasive blasting finish shall be SSPCSP 10 near white metal. b. Provide scaffolding or other equipment needed to accomplish the Work and make the equipment available to the OWNER's inspector. c. Furnish new coating system consisting of a zinc-rich primer and apply in the vapor space of the tank interior, including those appurtenances located in the vapor space. d. Furnish new coating system and apply in the immersion area of the tank interior, including those appurtenances located in the immersion area. e. Furnish and apply new coating system for appurtenances located on the tank exterior. f. Disassemble existing tank appurtenances as needed in order to expose all surfaces of the appurtenances and tank walls for abrasive blasting and coating application. Reassemble all appurtenances. Reassembly shall include but not be limited to furnishing and installing new gaskets and dielectric washers, repairing welds, reinstalling pipe supports, and reinstalling bolts and nuts of appurtenances. g. Clean and washdown tank and appurtenances before tank is put back into service. h. Provide and monitor heating and dehumidification equipment as needed, to apply new coating system under manufacturer's recommended conditions. i. Dispose of all abrasive wastes in accordance with all local, federal, and state requirements. j. Maintain air quality per local, federal, and state requirements throughout duration of the Work. 2. Tank 1 Structural Improvements: a. Demolish existing center column and cone and furnish and install new center column, halo ring system, and supplemental rafter assemblies. b. Demolish deteriorated roof rafters and furnish and install new rafters at an assumed 12 locations. c. Patch deteriorated rafter metal flange with hermetic seal at an assumed 20 locations. d. Demolish existing lateral bracing and furnish and install new lateral bracing at all 36 locations. e. Demolish deteriorated haunch plate tabs at knuckle/rafter connection and weld on new haunch plate with slotted holes at all 36 locations.
