Sewer & Waterh Spot Repairs. Initial Period Of Contract: From May 1, 2024 Through July 1, 2024. In compliance with this Invitation For Bids (IFB) and all conditions imposed in this IFB, the undersigned firm hereby offers and agrees to furnish all goods and services required by this IFB at the prices indicated in the pricing schedule, and the undersigned firm hereby certifies that all information provided below and, in any schedule, attached hereto is true, correct, and complete. No pre-bid meeting will be held. It is recommended that all bidders examine the site to evaluate the scope of this project. Modification of or additions to any portion of the Invitation for Bids may be cause for rejection of the bid; however, the City reserves the right to decide, on a case by case basis, in its sole discretion, whether to reject such a bid as nonresponsive. All Inquiries For Information Should Be Directed To: Deyonne Ngu, ngud@portsmouthva.gov (757) 393-8858, ext. 6143, no later than 5pm on Tuesday, April 16th. The purpose of this Invitation for Bid (IFB) is to establish a contract from qualified contractors to replace approximately 20 linear feet of 10" pipe with 10" C900 PVC pipe, rehabilitate (2) sewer manholes as designated, install approximately 51 linear feet of CIPP liner in the 10" sewer main as designated for the City of Portsmouth Department of Public Utilities, herein afterward referred to as the "City", an agency located in Portsmouth, Virginia. 1. Obtain permits and inspections from the City of Portsmouth Department of Engineering as required for work in the City Right of Way. 2. Replace 10' sewer pipe with 10" C900 PVC pipe as designated. 3. Rehabilitate three (2) sewer manholes as designated. 4. Install CIPP liner in 10" main as designated. 5. Restore pavement, driveways and/or curb and gutter to meet requirements of the Engineering Department or as designated. 6. Properly dispose of all excess materials and debris. 7. Restore site conditions and landscaping, topsoil and re-seed disturbed areas as determined by pre-video site inspection. 8. The Contractor shall be responsible for notification in writing of all adjacent property owners in the work site area of the nature of the work and their work schedule at least (48) hours prior to beginning the work The Contractor shall be responsible for coordination with property owners for access where the easements cross private property. Notices shall be pre-approved by Public Utilities, with a final copy provided prior to distribution. 9. Incidental items of work shall include but not be limited to: mobilization, demobilization, de-watering, shoring, special bedding, special backfill, pavement restoration, site restoration, traffic control, by-pass sewage pumping, permitting, work place safety, notification of residents, reinstatement of laterals, grouting, root removal, legal disposal of material, pre and post CCTV, holding of poles and unforeseen utility conflicts. These items are to be included in the Unit Bid Price for each size of pipe. 10. A post CCTV (CD Format) and log shall be provided the owner for review upon completion of the work. 11. The existing 10" main is approximately 10' deep. Bidder shall verify depth. No pre-bid meeting will be held. It is recommended that all bidders examine the site to evaluate the scope of this project.
