Project consists of the construction of a new Lower Floridan Aquifer Well No. 8 for water supply at the City of Apopkas Grossenbacher Water Plant. This well is one of the two remaining wells to be replaced. Construction of a new Lower Floridan Aquifer Drinking Water Well to replace the existing Upper Floridan Aquifer Well as required by the Consumptive Use Permit (CUP) issued by the St. Johns River Water Management District (SJRWMD). Per the current SJRWMD Consumptive Use Permit, all Upper Floridan Aquifer Drinking Water Wells must be replaced by Lower Floridan Aquifer Wells by the year 2017.
