**As of May 9, 2024 project has been awarded to Sharco Paving with the amount of $139,878.11.** The City of Madisonville is soliciting bids for the refurbishment and paving of approximately 1450 feet of the City Park Walking Trail, with the Madisonville City Park. The project will consist of excavation, engineered fill, culvert installation, construction of a wooden bridge, sediment control and reseeding and paving. Removal of existing lighting and installation of new lighting will be by the City of Madisonville. Proposals must be accompanied by a five percent (5%) Bid Bond. No bidder may withdraw a bid for a period of ninety (90) days after the date set for the opening of bids. The successful bidder will be required to furnish the Owner with a 100% Performance and Material Payment Bond. The Owner may consider informal any bid not prepared and submitted in accordance with the provisions hereof and may waive any informalities or reject any and all bids. Liquidated Damages for Failure to Enter into Contract: The successful bidder, upon his/her failure or refusal to execute and deliver the contract required within ten (10) days after he/she has received notice of the acceptance of his/her bid, shall forfeit to the Owner, as liquidated damages for such failure or refusal, the bid bond and the right to bid on future projects for the period of five (5) year. Time of Completion and Liquidated Damages: Bidder must agree to commence work on or before a date specified in a written "Notice to Proceed" of the Owner and to fully complete the project within ninety (90) consecutive calendar days thereafter. Otherwise the Bidder agrees to pay as liquidated damages for non-weather-related construction delays, the sum of $500.00 for each consecutive calendar day thereafter as hereinafter provide in the General Conditions.
