East Madison Community Center Roof Replacement. The City of Madison Community Development Authority is seeing qualified bids for the East Community Center Roofing Project. The site location will be 8 Straubel Ct. Madison WI 53704. Please see requirements and description of services below: 8 Straubel Ct. East Madison Community Center Roofing Project o GAF System Plus 40 Year- GAF Master Elite Contractor o Remove existing shingles down to deck. o Protect all outside patio furniture or decking if exists. o Re-nail any loose wood. o Use 4 of 6 Layers of GAF Products detailed below to support System Plus Warranty o Install 6' of ice and water shield at all gutter lines, rake edges, and valleys with duofast staples. o Install Synthetic underlayment to keep roof dry with cap nails per manufacturer specs. o Install GAF ProStart Starter Shingles along all gutter lines/Eves with pneumatic 1 1/4" coil nails. o Install GAF HDZ Limited Lifetime Dimensional Shingles per specifications using pneumatic 1 1/4 " roofing nails. 5-6 nails per shingle. o Install GAF Seal-A-Ridge Hip & Ridge Shingles with pneumatic coil nails. o Install new GAF Cobra roll ridge vent, cut in if needed. o Install new metal pipe flashings, install new ice, and water shield around pipes. o Install new metal flashing around "approximately" 4x8 skylights, new ice, and water shield around skylights. o Install new bathroom or kitchen vent if needed. o May use commercial dumpster or dump trailer without breaking any concrete or blacktop in driveway. o Clean up all job-related debris and magnet to pick as many nails as possible. o Provide owner with GAF System Plus Warranty Info Liquidated damages. The contractor may be charged liquidated damages on an existing contract of two thousand dollars ($2,000) per violation, or an amount equaling twenty percent (20%) of the value of the apparel, garments or corresponding accessories, equipment, materials, or supplies that the City demonstrates were produced in violation of the contract and/or this ordinance per violation; whichever is greater.
