Demolition and site work for a municipal facility in Perryton, Texas. Completed plans call for the demolition of a municipal facility; and for site work for a municipal facility.

Demolition of Buildings, Foundations, Removal of All Other Surfaces Sewer System Improvements, TDA Contract. Bids are invited for the demolition and clearance improvements and will occur on the east side of South Main Street between SE 1st Ave and SE 2nd Ave at the following addresses; 105 S. Main, 107 S. Main, 109 S. Main, 111 S. Main, 115 S. Main, 117 S. Main, 119 S. Main and 123 S. Main. Questions concerning this project should be addressed to Alex Guerrero, Local Government Services Director, PRPC, 415 SW 8 th Avenue, Amarillo, Texas, 79101, Phone 806-372-3381, or via e-mail - aguerrero@theprpc.org no later than noon on the 8th of April, 2024. A Bid Bond in the amount of 5% of the bid, issued by an acceptable surety, shall be submitted with each bid. A certified check or bank draft payable to City of Perryton, or negotiable U.S. Government Bonds (at par value) may be submitted in lieu of the Bid Bond. Performance and Payment bonds shall be set forth in the Contract Documents. Attention is called to the fact that not less than the federally determined prevailing (Davis-Bacon) wage rate, as issued by the Texas Department of Commerce and contained in the Contract Documents must be paid on the project. In addition, the successful bidder must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, color, religion, sex or national origin. Attention is called to General Condition 140, "Restrictions on Public Buildings and Public Works Projects". The Bidder certifies by the submission of its bid that it: 1. Is not a Contractor of a foreign country included on the USTR list. 2. Has not and will not enter into any subcontract with a subcontractor of a foreign country included on the USTR list. 3. Will not provide any product of a foreign country included on the USTR list. The City of Perryton will comply with the requirements of the Build America, Buy America (BABA) Act, 41 USC 8301 note, and all applicable rules and notices, as may be amended, if applicable to the City of Perryton's infrastructure project. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informality in the bidding. In case of ambiguity or lack of clearness, the Owner reserves the right to adopt such interpretations as may be most advantageous or to reject the bid as informal. No bid may be withdrawn until the expiration of 60 days from the bid opening date. Anything not covered within these specifications but is necessary for the completion of the project shall be included with the bid. There will be no cost to the contractor for disposal of material from the demolition of these properties at the City of Perryton Landfill. Disposal costs will be charged directly to the Perryton Community Development Corporation. Scope o 100 block of East Main Street in Perryton Texas Demolition o Complete removal of all components of the structures. o Removal of the foundations. o Removal of all other surfaces to the alleyway Right-of-Way (ROW) and Main Street Right of Way. Main Street ROW begins at the face of the buildings on Main Street The alleyway ROW is 20 feet in width. Perryton City Hall at 110 S Ash Street is constructed on the East edge of the ROW. Measuring 20 feet west from the west face of City Hall would be the approximate limits of the alleyway ROW. o The alleyway ROW may be blocked with coordination with the City. o Removal of all trash or debris within the structures or on the property. o Fill material that is clean and clear of debris will be used to bring the site to a grade that will produce positive drainage at the conclusion of demolition. o Time to completion A time to complete the work must be included with the bid. The time to completion may be utilized as a factor when evaluating the most qualified bidder. Contractor will be issued a notice to proceed by the City or Community Development Corporation (CDC) after the contract is awarded. Time bid is Calendar Days Contractor agrees to a reduction in contract of $500 per day when time to completion is in excess of the time bid to complete the project. Contractor may request more time with cause. Time extension requests, if needed for unexpected delays, shall be submitted to the City Manager for consideration.
