Q & A deadline: Apr 04, 2024 5:00:00 PM EDT The City of Miami Beach is seeking applications from contractors who wish to participate in a prequalification pool that will be used for Citywide demolition services on an "as needed" basis as specified herein. Interested contractors may submit an application indicating its intent to become prequalified. All contractors which meet or exceed the criteria established in this solicitation shall be placed on a prequalification list that may be accessed by various City departments to obtain price quotations for demolition services. BACKGROUND AND SCOPE. The City requires the services of contractors to perform citywide demolition services for the Building Department. On June 06, 2018, the City Commission approved the award of a contract pursuant to Request for Qualifications (RFQ) 2018-183-KB for Citywide Demolition Services with a three (3) year original term and two (2) additional one (1) year optional renewals. The contract has exhausted all renewal options, and this ITB is intended to replace the expiring contract. Successful Bidders shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, supplies, insurance, fuels, permits, retirement of utilities and any other items necessary to complete the demolition work, the removal of demolition materials and disposal of materials and related work for these future projects. Additional specifications and instructions shall be provided in each individual project's quote request, which include insurance requirements. The contractor shall ensure compliance with Chapter 33 safeguards during demolitions, as per the Florida Building Code. Contract duration: 5 years
