The scope of the work consists of the preparation and painting of an existing 150,000 gallon elevated water tank as follows, both the interior and exterior. The opinion of probable cost is as follows: Exterior:$97,645.00 Interior: $122,800.00 and more specifically as follows: Proposals must be submitted in the format furnished by the District, must contain the full name of every person interested therein and shall be accompanied by a bid guarantee of a bond as required in Section153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code with satisfactory surety to accompanied by a bid guarantee of not less than ten (10) percent of the amount of the proposal by a certified check, cashiers check, or letter of credit pursuant to ORC 1305 and ORC 153.43 on a solvent bank, subject to any conditions provided in the District's notice to bidders. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a satisfactory performance bond and shall promptly execute the Agreement to perform he work. Bidders may submit written questions if desired, but any such answers, or a failure to answer questions, shall not be relied upon, will not be binding or otherwise legally effective. Attention of bidders is called to he requirements as to condition of employment to be observed and minimum wage rates to be paid under the contract. Any bid may be withdrawn prior to the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids, but no bidder shall withdraw their bid within sixty (60) days after the actual opening thereof. The District reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any and all informalities in the bidding process to the fullest extent permissible by law, and to award any bidder to the lowest and best bidder, as determined entirely at the District's discretion.
