Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Freeport, New York. Completed plans call for site work for a educational facility; sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

Contract C includes removals of existing parking lot areas and drainage structures, installation of new drainage system, new asphalt paving and parking lot striping. Each proposal submitted must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond, made payable to the FREEPORT SCHOOL DISTRICT, in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the bid, as a commitment by the bidder that, if its bid is accepted, it will enter into a contract to perform the work and will execute such further security as may be required for the faithful performance of the contract. Certification of bonding company is required for this bid, see Instructions for Bidders section. Each bidder shall agree to hold his/her bid price for forty-five (45) days after the formal bid opening. A Performance and Payment bond will be required for the work. Each shall be in the amount of 100% of the contract sum. Refer to Article 11 of the General Conditions for requirements associated with such bonds. The Owner and Architect may make such investigation as they deem necessary to determine the ability of the bidder to perform the work, and the bidder shall furnish the Owner with all such additional information and data for this purpose as may be requested. The Owner reserves the right to reject any bid if the evidence submitted by, or investigation of such bidder fails to satisfy the Owner that such bidder is properly qualified to carry out the obligations of the Contract and to complete the work contemplated therein. INSURANCE The amounts, types and clauses to be included in the insurance is required to be carried by the successful bidder and its contractors, are listed as set forth in Article 10 of the General Conditions. WORK SHALL COMMENCE ON JUNE 27, 2024, AND BE SUBSTANTIALLY COMPLETED BY AUGUST 16, 2024. A FINAL COMPLETION DATE INCLUDING PROJECT CLOSEOUT IS SET FOR AUGUST 30, 2024.
