TANK provides both fixed-route mass transportation services through approximately 108 city-type transit buses, and paratransit services through approximately 34 cutaway type vehicles. TANK employs approximately 280 employees, in a union environment Contract Type: Firm Fixed Price Contract Term: 1 year All requests for clarifications or exceptions to this RFP must be submitted in writing no later than 4:00 p.m. EST on March 15, 2024 to Lyndi Whiteker at the above address or via email at lwhiteker@tankbus.org. Each request should be specific and should refer to a particular section or paragraph (and page number) of this RFP. Oral requests will not be accepted Award will be made to the firm whose proposal, in TANKs sole judgment, is considered to be most advantageous to TANK, cost and all other factors considered. Last Day for Questions: March 15, 2024 Anticipated Award Date: May 10, 2024 Funding Source: Federal Funds Taxes: TANK is exempt from payment of Kentucky sales tax and Federal excise taxes. Construction Schedule 1. The Work shall be conducted in a single phase, with overall project completion as indicated below and in the Instructions to Bidders. 2. Notice to proceed is anticipated to be issued on or around May 9, 2024. Start of work on site may commence following issuance of the Notice to Proceed. Project Substantial Completion is to be achieved on or before December 20, 2024. 3. Before commencing Work, submit an updated copy of Contractors construction schedule showing the sequence, commencement and completion dates for all phases of the Work. 4. Contractors are to staff project adequately and include shift or overtime work necessary to complete the work on the schedules noted above. Note special requirements for supervisory personnel and work crews as outlined in Section 013100 Project Management. Proposals should be submitted in two (2) volumes, each including one (1) original and three (3) copies, plus a CD or USB flash drive containing both volumes in PDF format, in a sealed envelope. No price or price-related information shall appear in Volume 1, the Technical Proposal. Electronic proposals will not be accepted. Any questions regarding this solicitation shall be submitted to Lyndi Whiteker, at lwhiteker@tankbus.org no later than 4:00 p.m. EST on Friday, March 15, 2024. Telephoned questions will not be accepted. Proposers shall not contact any other TANK personnel regarding any aspect of this solicitation. Any proposer found to have had such contact shall be barred from participation in this solicitation and any subsequent contract, either as a prime contractor or subcontractor. TANK anticipates that responses to questions submitted will be provided to all known proposers by the close of business on Friday, March 22, 2024. If the responses materially alter the terms of this solicitation, they will be incorporated in an amendment to the solicitation. No communication by TANK or any of its Commissioners, officers, employees, agents or representatives shall alter the terms of this solicitation or bind TANK in any manner, unless incorporated in such an amendment.
