Renovation of a mixed-use development in Bear Lake, Michigan. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
SCOPE OF WORK: The replacement of several windows. Replacement Project Bear Lake School 7748 Cody Road Bear Lake, MI 49614 A bid security will be required A Performance Bond and Payment Bond will be required. This project will occur during the school summer break. All work on premises or within the building may not commence until Monday, June 3, 2024. The project must be complete in its entirety including all refuse, tools and materials off site on or before Thursday, August 15, 2024. All questions are to be directed to the Construction Manager. Do not contact the Owner unless directed by the Project Manager. Request For Information (R.F.I.) replies shall be submitted to all Bidder’s in writing via e-mail or FAX provided to Construction Manager. Question A. Should Bidder find discrepancies, omissions, ambiguities or conflicts in the Bidding Documents or between such documents and the conditions at the site, or should Bidder be in doubt as to the true meaning of the part of the Bidding Documents, Bidder may submit to the Owner's authorized designee a written request, here-in referred to as a RFI (Request for Information), for an interpretation. The bidder submitting the request shall be responsible for its prompt delivery via in-person delivery, e-mail or FAX.submitted shall be submitted to each Bidder via e-mail or FAX 72 hours prior to the date set for receipt of bids. C. To receive consideration, RFI's shall be made and received by the owner designee no later than five working days before the date set for the receipt of bids. SCOPE OF WORK 1. Review all bid documents including plans and written specifications. 2. Attend pre-bid meeting and utilize time designated for evaluations. a. Alternate site evaluation times only available upon request. b. On-site evaluation is expected to be conducted at the designated pre-bid meeting scheduled time. 3. Evaluate prior to bidding for removal and replacement the following: a. Removal of all interior trim, windows and related items listed as "REPLACE" on the window schedule and plan A3. b. Removal of all windows to be replaced and means of disposal. c. Installation and finishing of any new interior trim affected due to window replacement. d. Delivery, on-site storage and staging of all new windows to be installed. 4. Removal and replacement the following: a. Removal of all windows listed as "REPLACE"" on window schedule and plan A2. b. Removal of all doors to be replaced and disposed of off-site. c. Installation of new windows per industry standard methods and ensuring proper operation, sealing from weather, moisture and air infiltration. d. Replacement, re-installation including finish if removed for new window installation. Any finishing to ensure trim is to match color and sheen as close as possible. e. Delivery and stage of all new windows to be installed in a manner to ensure access to all walks, entrances, exits, building rooms, closets, and hallways. i. Exterior storage will be permitted providing window is adequately protected from weather, damage or theft.
