Site work and paving for a civil project in Carol Stream, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; water / sewer project; road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
The Village of Carol Stream, Illinois will receive Sealed Bids for a Public Works Construction contract that will raise the existing concrete abutments and then assemble and install a single span panel-lam bridge currently stored at the Villages Water Reclamation Center (245 N Kuhn Road).The adjacent asphalt paths and approaches will then be reconstructed to meet the higher bridge deck, which will also be paved over with asphalt. Not included is removal of the existing bridge and streambank stabilization underneath, which will be by others prior to commencement of this Work. This pre-qualification will be based on the criteria listed in the INSTRUCTIONS FOR BIDDERS, but it will not supersede the process for CONSIDERATION OF BIDS after the PUBLIC OPENING OF BIDS. The Village of Carol Stream has determined that the services to be provided hereunder are subject to the Prevailing Wage Act, 820 ILCS 130/1-12. The successful Bidder shall not pay less than the prevailing rates of wages to all laborers, workmen, and mechanics performing work under this contract, and shall comply with the requirements of the Illinois Wages of Employees on Public Works Act (820 ILCS 130/1-12).
