A site visit will be conducted upon completion of the pre-proposal conference for Proposers to view the existing site conditions. Prevailing Wage Rates Contractors are required to comply with Texas Government Code Chapter 2258, Prevailing Wage Rates. For the purposes of work performed pursuant to public works contracts, contractors are required to pay not less than the prevailing wage rates as determined by the United States Department of Labor in accordance with the Davis-Bacon Act (40 U.S.C. Section 276a et seq.), and its subsequent amendments. The City of Garland has adopted the general prevailing rate of per diem wages for Dallas County, Texas as set by the United States Department of Labor Davis and Bacon Wage Determination, which are reported and updated from time-to-time at and at the Wage Determinations website
