The scope of work for the Base Bid consists of, but is not limited to, construction of a gravel access road, gravel parking area, and parking lot lighting, along with all relative clearing, grubbing, tree removal, and site grading. Alternate 1 will consist of the installation of a water service line, hydrant, and water meter pit. Alternate 2 will consist of furnishing and installing a vault toilet, concrete pavement, striping and signage for handicap accessible parking stalls. Each bid must be accompanied by a Bidder's Bond with Acknowledgement of Surety, Acknowledgement of Principal, and Power of Attorney in an amount not less than 5% of the full amount of the bid made payable to the order of or for the benefit of the Minot Park District. The bid bond shall be executed by the bidder as principal and by a surety company authorized to do business in the State of North Dakota, conditioned that if the principal's Bid be accepted and the contract awarded to the principal, within ten (10) days after Notice of Award, the Principal shall execute a contract in accordance with the terms of the bid and contractor's performance and payment bonds as required by law and the regulations and determinations of the governing body. If the Minot Park District elects to award a contract to the lowest responsible bidder, and the lowest responsible bidder does not execute a contract within ten (10) days, the bidder's bond will be forfeited to the Minot Park District, and the Minot Park District may award the project to the next lowest responsible bidder.
