Renovation of a residential development in Hawthorne, New York. Completed plans call for the renovation of a residential development.
DESCRIPTION This project is for the replacement of a 5-ton Carrier AC system with a 5-ton Heat Pump. Work is to be completed within 45 days of award. FACILITY BACKGROUND: Hawthorne IRA is a 14-bedroom Health Care facility located in Hawthorne, NY. The Carrier 38TRA060330 provides cooling for one zone consisting of a day habilitation center and adjacent nurse offices. Hawthorne Heat Pump Installation SCOPE OF WORK includes, but is not necessarily limited to the following: 1. Remove existing condenser and evaporator. 2. Assess existing refrigerant lines, air handler unit, wiring and ductwork for re-use. 3. Procure and install heat pump system, minimum 14 SEER 4. All equipment and installation shall meet or exceed NYS energy efficiency requirements for State-owned buildings and comply with the current version of the National Electric Code (NEC) and NYS Uniform Code. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS: 1. Bid price is to include all labor to complete the installation of a fully functioning system. 2. Final acceptance of completed work will be approved by OPWDD Plant Superintendent. 3. Any unforeseen conditions that may alter the established price are to be reported to the Plant Superintendent listed above immediately upon discovery. Method of Award: This is an RFQ (request for quotes). This is not an IFB (bid). The Hudson Valley DDSO intends to award the contract to the most responsible and responsive vendor that provides the lowest cost and meets the requirements detailed in the scope of work. Upon request, vendor must demonstrate 2 years of relevant experience on prior projects of similar magnitude and its subject to vendor responsibility determination. Hudson Valley DDSO reserves the right to reject any and all quotes. In deciding whether to submit a quote, please be aware the awarded vendor must adhere to the time frames outlined in the scope of work. The awarded vendor will also be required to submit certificates of Liability Insurance and Worker's Compensation Insurance as well as completed Lobbying Law Forms, and signed Appendix A. Please be prepared to submit these in a timely fashion. The Hudson Valley DDSO will make no concessions to the vendor for any alleged misunderstanding or deception because of quantity, quality, character, or other condition. The Hudson Valley DDSO's interpretation of specifications shall be final and binding. Please note, all staff working at the project site will be required to sign an attendance sheet for record purposes.
