Purpose The purpose of these specifications are to provide sufficient information to allow bidders the opportunity to submit a bid on the requirements for Ector County Caliche Roads. Bid Bond The bid shall be accompanied by a Surety Bond, Certified Check, or Cashier's Check, in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid price. Bid bonds will be returned after the award of the bid. Upon the bidders submittal of a Performance bond within thirty (30) calendar days following the notice of award, their Bid bond will be returned to them. In case of failure or refusal to do so within the time stated the bond submitted with the bid will be forfeited as liquidated damages. Performance/Payment Bonds Within thirty (30) days after notification of the awarded bidder, the bidder shall be required furnish a good and sufficient performance/payment bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the total bid price, payable to Ector County.
