The intent of these specifications is to obtain a qualified vendor to provide tree removal and pruning services for trees on town-owned property and rights of way. The contract shall cover the period beginning July 1, 2024, through June 30, 2025, with the option to renew for the period beginning July 1, 2025, through June 30, 2026, and July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2027, contingent upon the Town of Farmington's satisfaction with the services performed by the vendor and sufficient funding being included in the budget for that year. The Town of Farmington Highway and Grounds Division is soliciting bids for tree removal and pruning services on town-owned property and rights of way. Cost proposals shall be on an hourly rate basis and shall include all labor and equipment. Prices shall not include travel time to and from the Town of Farmington to the contractor's home location. Equipment can be parked at the Highway Garage. Tree Service Crew and Equipment shall consist of: 1) A bucket truck with minimum bucket height of sixty feet and a capacity of not less than three hundred (300) pounds with operator; 2) A separate dump chipper truck and chipper able to chip material up to twelve inches (12") in diameter; and/or a combination of bucket/chipper truck w/chipper. 3) Chainsaws, ropers, slings and all related equipment for tree removal to be operated by a crew of two (2) persons. The Town reserves the right to reject any or all bids, in whole or in part, to award any item, group of items or the total bid, and to waive any or all informalities or technical defects, if it is deemed by the Town to be in its best interest to do so.
