Renovation of a fitness / recreation center in Chicago, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a fitness / recreation center.
1. Install/Inspect Sub Floor:. a) Install/Inspect the Subfloor: Ensure all height and leveling are met according to the CPS specification listed in SECTION 09 65 64 RESILIENT ATHLETIC FLOORING - STRENGTH TRAINING ROOM / FITNESS CENTER b) Ensure the sub flooring is clean, dry, prior to the install of the new floor. 2. Install the Rubber Flooring: a) Layout: Start from one corner and lay out the rubber rolls or tiles. b) Trimming: Cut the rubber to fit around edges, corners, and obstacles (like columns or equipment). c) Adhesive: Apply adhesive (if using) according to the manufacturer's instructions. d) Seams: Butt the edges of rolls or tiles together for a seamless look. e) Trimming Seams: Trim any excess rubber along seams. 3. Finishing Touches: a) Edge Trims: Install edge trims around the perimeter to protect the edges and create a neat finish. b) Transition Strips: Add transition strips where the rubber meets other flooring types (e.g., carpet or tile). c) Game Lines: Ensure sport lines are added to the flooring for Basketball. d) School Colors: Adding the school Mascot, Name & Colors to the new installed floor.
