All questions concerning the Pre-Proposal Conference, bid specification or scope of work must be submitted in writing either by mail, facsimile, or e-mail, and received April 10, 2024 through April 17, 2024, and no later than 2:00 P.M. at the address below: Sweetwater Authority Attn: Purchasing Division 744 F Street Chula Vista, CA, 91910 Fax # (619) 427-9574 purchasing@sweetwater.org Sweetwater Authority (Authority) is a publicly owned water agency that provides water service to approximately 200,000 people in National City, Bonita and the western and central portions of Chula Vista, California. All provisions of law applicable to public contracts will be made part of the final contract to the same extend as though set forth herein, and will be complied with by the successful bidder. Sweetwater Authority encourages participation by local businesses. THE DESIRED SERVICE This Request for Quote (RFQ) is issued to cover the cost to Sweetwater Authority for the repair, restoration, and application of Multi-layer Astec Re-Ply White Coat Roof System or equivalent on the rooftop of the Sweetwater Authority Administration Building (approximately 17,334 square feet), located at 505 Garrett Avenue, Chula Vista, CA. 91910. SCOPE OF WORK The Contractor shall be responsible for furnishing all labor, materials, supervision, tools, equipment, and incidentals. This work requires; 1. Repair and seal all coping metal connections. 2. Remove any areas of rusted/deteriorated existing coping metal and dispose. Install thermoplastic polyolefin (TPO) over the top of the wall to waterproof under the coping metal. Install new 12x3x3 coping metal of 24 gauge. 3. Coping metal replaced shall match existing color. 4. Pressure wash existing roofing 5. All seams, skylights, vents, transitions, and edges, in addition to any suspect areas on roof, flashings and rooftop HVAC units will be sealed and re-enforced to ensure a sound leak-free surface. 6. Apply Multi-layer Astec Re-Ply White Coating or equivalent, according to manufacturer specifications. 7. All excess material, containers, equipment, and tools to be removed from jobsite upon completion of project. 8. Shall include 10-year warranty without exclusions for ponding. Additional Notes: Work to be done must be performed during weekends: 7:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. Contractor shall exercise all means necessary to maintain watertight integrity of the roof during the work to protect the occupied facility from water leaks due to inclement weather.
