Professional Engineering Services Regarding the Inspection and Contract Administration for the Replacement of Bridge Mt-10 on Church Street Over Compton's Creek in the Township of Middletown Late proposals will not be accepted. The Consultant firms(s) shall provide the County of Monmouth with professional contract administration and inspection services necessary for the Replacement of Bridge MT-10 on Church Street over Comptons Creek in the Township of Middletown, Monmouth County, New Jersey. The work to be performed under this Contract consists of the replacement of Bridge MT-10. Work shall include the removal of the existing bridge superstructure, substructure, and piles in its entirety and construction of new single span concrete bridge consisting of concrete deck on pre-stressed precast concrete box beams, parapets, sidewalks, substructures, wingwalls, pile foundations as shown on the plans. The bridge will have steel 4 bar bridge railing attached to concrete pylons mounted on the wingwalls. Guiderail or crash cushions will extend from the pylons. The proposed work involves installation of transition riprap and scour hole under the new bridge to the limits shown on the plans. Proposed improvements entail the staged demolition and removal of the existing bridge structure as well as staged installation of the bridge piles due to the proposed relocation sequence with overhead utilities and the need to provide pedestrian access at all times. The proposed work also entails the relocation of a gas main and overhead utilities, realignment, widening and profile upgrades to Church Street. This work includes: construction of full depth pavement, concrete curb, concrete sidewalk, drainage improvements; beam guide rail installation, application of nonvegetative surface, milling and overlaying of the roadway; top soiling, fertilizing, seeding, and mulching; signing and striping; and any other incidental and necessary work shown on the construction plans entitled "Replacement of Bridge MT-10 on Church Street over Comptons Creek in the Township of Middletown, Monmouth County, New Jersey ", dated January 2024, and as further described herein. To assist the interested Consultants become familiar with the project, construction plans, and specifications will be either shared via wetransfer.com or a CD copy can be mailed to the Consultant at their expense for review until the Qualification Statement submission due date. Please note that construction of this project will be paid for with Monmouth County funds and invoicing will follow County of Monmouth standards. Interested Consultants which consider themselves well qualified for the anticipated work should have specialized expertise in the inspection and contract administration of the rehabilitation and/or replacement of bridges and roadway construction; as well as geotechnical experience. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
