Removal of existing roofing and replacement with new standing seam metal roofing, insulation, and appurtenances with roofing contractor acting as prime contractor. BID SECURITY AND WAGE/DISCRIMINATION CONDITIONS Bidders are required to provide a certified or cashier's check, or bid bond executed by Bidder and approved Surety Company, in the amount of five (5%) percent of the bid amount. A successful bidder shall forfeit any surety required by the PBC upon failure on the bidder's part to enter into a contract within 10 days after the notice of award. Bids are required to be submitted under a condition of irrevocability for a period of 60 days after submission. This project is subject to the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act and Bidders are hereby notified that employees and applicants of the contractor shall not be discriminated against in the accordance with Illinois Labor Regulations. A successful bidder shall begin the Work on receipt of the Notice to Proceed and shall complete the Work within the 100 CALENDAR DAYS - the Contract Time. Bidders must be properly licensed under the laws governing their respective trades and be able to obtain insurance and bonds required for the Work. A Performance Bond and a separate Labor and Material Payment Bond, each in the amount of 100% of the contract and Insurance, in a form acceptable to Owner, will be required of the successful Bidder.
