Operating Room isolation panel upgrade. 27 MAR 24: Updated WRSU Panel Upgrade Introduction to include site visit restrictions and add secondary POC. This project shall include but not be limited to replacing the Operating Room 2 (OR2) 277-volt isolation panel with a new 480-volt/120-volt isolation panel. Electrical wiring, drywall demolition, drywall patching/repair, painting, and Class IV infection control. See Attachment A for the WRSU Infection Control Policy. SCOPE OF WORK This project shall include but not be limited to replacing the Operating Room 2 (OR2) 277-volt isolation panel with a new 480-volt/120-volt isolation panel. Electrical wiring, drywall demolition, drywall patching/repair, painting, and Class IV infection control. See Attachment A for the WRSU Infection Control Policy. A. Electrical The electrical scope shall include but is not limited to upgrading the isolation panel, wiring, conduit, breaker, and reconfiguring isolation branch circuits. 1. Isolation Panel: Upgrading the existing obsolete 277-volt/120-volt Post Glover model SFP5/41/846/GLN isolation panel with a new 480-volt/120-volt PG Lifelink Plus Series IPP-P 5 kVA isolation panel (or approved equivalent). The replacement isolation panel shall be flush mount with six (6) hospital grade red panel receptacles, four (4) ground jacks, five (5) factory installed circuit breakers for branch circuit, and line isolation monitor as outlined in specifications at Attachment B. 2. Breaker: The 277-volt breaker shall be upgraded to a 480-volt breaker per NEC 70. Space is available in the electrical panel. 3. Wiring & Conduit: The wiring and conduit shall be upgraded per NEC 70. The existing OR2 isolation panel is not fully supported by an uninterruptable power supply (UPS). The new OR2 isolation panel circuit shall be reconfigured to be fully supported by a recently installed Eaton 93PM UPS. The final connections to the Eaton UPS shall be 10' of SO cord type for the input and 10' of SO cord for the output allowing the UPS to be serviced. See Attachment C for panel locations. 4. Branch Circuits: The two isolation panel branch circuits currently tied to the obsolete isolation panel breaker labeled "Panel Receptacle #3" shall be reconfigured to be powered from individual isolation panel branch circuits. B. Drywall/PaintingThe existing isolation panel measures 49"H x 44.5"W x 10"D and the new isolation panel measures 70"H x 24"W x 6"D requiring drywall work and painting. The existing paint shall be matched and the entire wall containing the isolation panel shall be painted. Contractor shall verify all quantities and dimensions.
