Admiral Hill Pump Station Fire Suppression System Upgrades Estimated Cost $325,000 SCOPE OF WORK: A. The scope of this project includes the furnishing of all materials, equipment, tools and labor necessary for the construction of upgrades to the fire suppression system for the Admirals Hill Pump Station as shown on the drawings and as specified herein. This project also includes the demolition and removal of the stations existing CO2 fire extinguishing system and dry sprinkler system along with reconnecting the stations existing domestic cold-water service. B. The major work items to be completed include, but are not limited to, the following: 1. A new pre-action sprinkler system including a new 6-inch single interlock electronically actuated pre-action valve with integral check valve, new 6-inch double check valve assembly, new 4-inch Fire Department connection with bypass, new nitrogen generator, new smoke/heat detectors, new sprinkler piping and appurtenances. 2. Demolition and removal of the stations existing dry sprinkler system including the 6- inch dry sprinkler alarm check valve on the interior 8-inch flanged supply riser, 1- inch to 2-1/2-inch sprinkler piping within the upper attic space, and other related control and electrical components as shown on the drawings. 3. Demolition and removal of the stations existing CO2 fire extinguishing system including 7 gas cylinders, piping manifold, selector valve and related control and electrical components as shown on the drawings. 4. Replacement of the existing fire alarm control unit and appurtenances with a new addressable fire alarm control unit including new devices, conduit and wiring for monitoring and controlling the new pre-action sprinkler system.
