Demolition, site work, paving and new construction of a bridge / tunnel in Watseka, Illinois. Completed plans call for the demolition of a bridge / tunnel; for the construction of a bridge / tunnel; for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.

LOCATION OF WORK This project is located in Iroquois County 10 3/4 miles southeast of Watseka Illinois on County Highway 40 over Tributary to Possum Trot Ditch in the southeast quarter of section 21, Township 26 North, Range 11 West of the 2nd PM. This work shall consist of the removal of the existing structure and construction of a single span reinforced concrete slab on steel beam bridge supported on integral abutments with concrete wingwalls, 74-0 back to back of abutments, 30-0 out to out of deck, and with a 20 degree left ahead skew. Also included are channel excavation and protection, erosion control measures, seeding, ~676' of County Highway 40 hot-mix asphalt replacement, shoulder widening for traffic barrier terminals, and other related work. 8.8 miles of patching, milling, and resurfacing on Freeport Rd from West Sterling Rd to East Lynn Blvd in Sterling.
