In developing and placing refuse at County of Orange Landfills, expansion of the gas extraction system is needed to draw gas from the decomposing refuse and transport it to a flare station for consumption. The gas extraction system is made in part of horizontal and vertical collection pipes and fittings of high-density polyethylene (HDPE). This system is installed on an as-needed basis throughout the year. The Contractor shall deliver and unload these materials at County of Orange Landfills as directed by the site supervisor. Any defective or damaged pipe at the time of delivery will not be accepted or paid for. It will be the contractor's responsibility to pick up and return any damaged pipe delivered to the landfill.
