The Board of Education, Sullivan C.U.S.D. #300 will receive sealed bids from contractors at the Office of Dr. Ted Walk, Superintendent, Sullivan High School, 725 N. Main St., Sullivan, IL 61951 for: PIPING REPLACEMENT Sullivan High School Sullivan, IL Generally, the work includes replacing the high school water service and domestic water piping. Construction for the project All Bidders are advised that all work of this Contract shall be subject to all applicable laws of the State of Illinois and the United States of America, including but not limited to the "Preference to Citizens (Illinois) on Public Works Projects Act" and the Wages of Employees on Public Works (Prevailing Wage Act). All Bidders shall submit and enclose with their bid a notarized certification that the Contractor is not barred from bidding on the Contract as a result of a violation of either Section 33 E-3 or 33 E-4 of Article 33E, Public Act 85-1295 (Senate Bill 2002) effective January 1, 1989. Certification is in the Proposal Form in the Project Manual. Bids shall be accompanied by a bid bond in the amount of 10% of the Base Bid, made payable to the Board of Education, Sullivan C.U.S.D. #300. Bids not accompanied by a bid bond will be rejected. The successful Bidder will be required to provide a Surety Performance Bond and Payment Bond, each equal to 100% of the Contract cost on prescribed forms within ten (10) days after notice of acceptance is issued by Owner. Surety on bond shall be by a duly authorized U. S. Treasury Backed company licensed to do business in the State of Illinois, acceptable to Owner. The Contractor shall pay the premiums for these bonds. The Board of Education for Sullivan C.U.S.D. #300 reserves the right to reject any or all bids and reserves the right to waive any irregularity in bidding, which in their considered opinion is warranted. No bid shall be withdrawn for sixty (60) days after opening of bids.
