The Current Gate is 38.5 Feet Long and Extends Out by 27 Feet on the 3-lane Driveway Entrance. The Successful Bidder Shall Replace the Gate by Removing the Current Gate and Install a New Single Structural Cantilever Slide Gate System. The Successful Bidder Has the Responsibility to Familiarize Themselves With the Conditions of the Gate in Order to Best Accomplish the Installation of a Functional Commercial Cantilever Gate. The Successful Bidder Can Salvage Any Old Parts That Are Still Serviceable to Be Utilized in New Installation, With Approval of the Director of Department of Public Works or Their Designee. Remaining Parts and Enclosures to Be Delivered to Material Control for Recycling. (3) the Successful Bidder Shall Install a New Gate Operator Model With All Necessary Hardware and Control Devices for a Fully Functioning System. And That Will Support the Weight and Width of the Installed Structural Cantilever Slide Gate. (5) the Successful Bidder Vendor Must Be a Manufacturer Authorized Installer. Scheduling of Work: The Successful Bidder Shall Work on a Continuous Basis, Weather Permitting. The Successful Bidder Shall Schedule the Installation of the Structural Cantilever Slide Gate System Around the Operations of the Nantucket Landfill. The Landfill Daily Hours of Operations Cannot Be Interrupted. The Successful Bidder Shall Coordinate With the Nantucket Landfill and the Department of Public Works Once the Contract is Awarded and Arrange for Traffic Control and Safety During Construction. Damages: The Successful Bidder Shall Repair All Areas Either Damaged or Disturbed at No Additional Costs to the Town. Whether an Area Has or Has Not Been Damaged, Disturbed, Rutted, Etc. Shall Be the Sole Determination of the Town. Clean-up: At the End of Each Workday, the Successful Bidder Shall Be Responsible for Securing the Work Area With Temporary Fencing and to Protect the Public From Any Unsafe Conditions. At the Completion of the Project, the Successful Bidder Shall Remove and Properly Dispose of All Excess Materials and Debris Resulting From This Project, in Compliance With All Local and State Regulations. Coordination of Work Included Under This Bid: All Work Shall Be Coordinated With the Solid Waste Manager, and the on-site Landfill as to Cause Minimum Inconvenience to the Public. 4.3.
