Site work for a service station / car wash facility in Brockton, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for site work for a service station / car wash facility.

As of May 6, 2024, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award has not yet been established. The Brockton Area Transit Authority (BAT) is soliciting bids from qualified firms to furnish and install Electric Vehicle Charging Stations and Related Electrical and Site Infrastructure for the BAT heavy duty transit fleet as described in the bid documents at the BAT operations and Maintenance Facility, 1442 Main St., Brockton, MA 02301. Bidders must provide either: 1. A DCAMM Certificate of Eligibility and Update Statement. 2. National Grid certified as EV Charging Station Installers and responses to 5 qualification questions. Bids must be submitted on the required forms and accompanied by the required certifications and a Bid Deposit equal to 5% of the bid amount. This solicitation is subject to M.G.L. c 30, Sec. 39M and Massachusetts Prevailing Wage and Federal Davis Bacon Wage Rates. BAT may reject any bids when required to do so by the above referenced statute or waive any informality if it determines it to be in the public interest to do so. The award of this contract is contingent on the availability of funds from the U.S. Department of Transportation, Federal Transit Administration, and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs) are encouraged to respond to this solicitation. Failure of the contractor to reach substantial completion of work of this project by September 30, 2025 Any discussions at present are intended to provide clarity and stimulate specific questions that can be presented formally to BAT no later than 4:00PM on Tuesday, April 16, 2024. BAT will answer those questions so received, for the benefit of all potential bidders. He also reminded attendees that bids must be received by BAT no later than 2:00 PM on Thursday, April 25, 2024. The project consists of replacement of furnishing and installing Electric Vehicle Charging Stations and Related Electrical and Site Infrastructure for the BAT heavy duty transit fleet as described in the bid documents at the BAT operations and Maintenance Facility, which shall include, but not be limited to, site work; installation of new systems; and repair and refinishing of all disturbed areas to match existing.
