Vista Del Monte Waterline Replacement The undersigned, having familiarized themselves with the local conditions affecting the cost of the work, and with the project plans and specifications prepared by ECG Civil through RRM Design Group, hereby proposes to furnish all labor, materials, equipment, and services required to replace the existing onsite domestic water system for the 20-unit apartment complex. Work includes the installation of approximately 500 linear feet (LF) of 2" pvc, 260 LF of 1" pvc and 275 LF of 3/4" pvc pipe, 21 new copper service connections with shut off valves and hose bibs. The new pipe will connect to the existing City water meter and include a new backflow device as well as pressure reducing valve. There will be some concrete and asphalt removal and replacement where existing proposed lines will be placed under existing paved areas. Two trees will be removed as part of the project as well as clearing and grubbing of existing landscape planters in the new pipeline alignment. The project will be occupiedby residents during the course of construction and as such the existing water system will need to remain in service until a new system is complete and operational. In addition, any and all required permits pertaining to this work will be at the expense of the undersigned. Bid Guarantee All bids must be accompanied by a negotiable bid guarantee which shall not be less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid. The Bid guarantee may be a certified check, bank draft, U.S. Government Bonds at par value, or a bid bond secured by a surety company authorized to do business in the state where the work is to be performed. Certified checks and bank drafts must be made payable to the order of Authority. The bid guarantee shall insure the execution of the contract and the furnishing of a method of assurance of completion by the successful bidder as required by solicitation. Failure to submit a bid guarantee with the bid shall result in the rejection of the bid. Bid guarantees submitted by unsuccessful bidders will be returned as soon as practicable and after the bid opening.
