Demolition, site work, renovation and addition to an educational facility in Lexington, Kentucky. Completed plans call for the addition of a educational facility; for the demolition of a educational facility; for the renovation of a educational facility; and for site work for a educational facility.
The scope of this project includes, but is not limited to, the following: demolition, site work renovation and addition to an educational facility. As of April 2, 2024, a general contractor has not yet been selected for this project. A firm construction timeline for this project has not yet been released. All bids shall be accompanied by a bid guarantee of not less than five (5%) percent of the amount of the base bid. A 100% Performance Bond and 100% Payment Bond shall be furnished by the successful bidder. All bonding and insurance requirements are contained in the Instruction to Bidders, General Conditions and Special Conditions. The time for completion as further defined in Article 28 of the General Conditions shall be as follows: substantial completion shall be six hundred and sixteen (616) calendar days. This project consists of demolition and new construction at the existing Scovell Hall building. Included in this Bid Package will be the following: TRADE CONTRACT - A - Sitework and Demolition TRADE CONTRACT - C - Building Concrete TRADE CONTRACT - E - Structural Steel Final award of Contract will be made on the basis of the lowest, responsive, and responsible bid which offers the best value.
