Leveling and Resurfacing Improvements Mary Batten Road and Darrell Tucker Road. All work on the project must be completed within 120 consecutive calendar days of date work begins, however, Darrell Tucker Road must be completed by June 30, 2024. All proposals shall be accompanied by a Bid Bond in favor of the Atkinson County Board of Commissioners in the amount of at least five percent (5%) of the lump sum bid for the complete work: such Bid Bond representing that the Bidder, if awarded a Contract, will promptly enter into a Contract and furnish Performance Bond and Payment Bonds as provided by the law and approved by the Attorney for the Atkinson County Board of Commissioners. Performance Bond shall be equal to 100 Percent (100%) of the contract amount and Payment Bond shall be equal to 100 percent (100%) of the Contract amount. The Scope of Work Includes: Leveling and Resurfacing Improvements to Mary Batten Road (1.540 Miles) and Darrell Tucker Road (1.460 Miles). Total of 3.00 Miles. The Georgia Department of Transportation Standard Specifications, 2021 Edition, any applicable Supplemental Specifications, 2024 Edition or Special Provisions, contained within this contract will be applicable to this project. All materials, workmanship, testing, etc. shall meet the Georgia Department of Transportation Specifications. The Owner reserves the right to reject all bids and to waive informalities, and to accept any Bid which in its opinion may be in the best interest of the Owner. The Owner has the right to add or to delete from the Contract once it has been awarded. No bids shall be withdrawn for a period of 60 days after the opening of the bids.
