Site work for a water / sewer project in Seattle, Washington. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

The project consists of replacing 35 feet of 6 Asbestos Cement with 6 Ductile Iron and replacing 3,060 of 8 Asbestos Cement with 8 Ductile Iron with associated valves, fittings, fire hydrants, and water services. It also includes traffic control, construction surveying, and assorted project restoration as shown on the contract plans. Project schedule and locations are as follows along Ave A: Schedule A: from 2nd St to BNSF Right of Way. Schedule B: BNSF Right of Way to 7th St. Schedule C: from 7th St to Town Limits. The engineers estimate for this project is $1,100,000 - $1,300,000. The time of completion (performance period) for this Project is: Schedule A: 35 working days Schedule B: 45 working days Schedule C: 40 working days All Schedules Awarded: 120 working days Free-of-charge access to project bid documents (plans, specifications, addenda, and Bidders List) is provided to Prime Bidders, Subcontractors, and Vendors by going to Online and clicking on "Posted Projects", "Public Works", and "Town of Index". Access to project documents is intended for use by bidders (general contractors/prime bidders, subcontractors and suppliers), agency personnel and agency's consultants, as well as for personal, noncommercial, use by the public. "Harvesting" (downloading, copying, and transmitting ) of any project information and/or project documents for purposes of reselling and/or redistributing information by any other party is not allowed by Online. All bids shall be submitted on the prescribed Bid Forms and in the manner as stated in this advertisement and in the Project Manual and said bids shall be accompanied by a bid deposit in the form of a cashier's check, postal money order, or surety bond to the Town of Index in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total amount of the bid. If a surety bond is used, said bond shall be issued by a surety authorized and registered to issue said bonds in the State of Washington. The bond shall specify the surety's name, address, contact and phone number, and shall include a power of attorney appointing the signatory of the bond as the person authorized to execute it. Should the successful bidder fail to enter into the Contract and furnish satisfactory performance bond within the time stated in the Information for Bidders, the bid deposit shall be forfeited to the Town of Index. Faxed bids and/or surety bonds will not be accepted. Contractors/Subcontractors must comply with Executive Order 11246 as amended by Executive Order 11375 regarding affirmative action and equal opportunity. The Town of Index is an Equal Opportunity Employer. This project is subject to State prevailing wage rates. This project is funded through the Washington State Department of Commerce with federal funds from the U.S. Treasury ARPA SLFRF under CFDA #21.027 and is subject to the Federal Grant Terms & Conditions included in Appendix A. The Town of Index reserves the right to accept the bid that is in the best interest of the Town, to postpone the acceptance of bids and the award of the Contract for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days, or to reject any and all bids received. Subject to the foregoing, the bid may be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder. When awarded the Contract, the successful bidder shall promptly execute the Contract and shall furnish a bond of faithful performance of the Contract in the full amount of the Contract price. The Town shall award a contract based on the lowest acceptable bid for one, all, or a combination of the bid schedules in the contract proposal. The combination of the bid schedules awarded shall be at the sole discretion of the Town. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
