In furthering our goal to continue to provide services to the citizens of the City of Fort Stockton, the City is seeking to receive sealed bids from a professional qualified heavy construction contractor for providing all the necessary tasks, including the construction of the City's New Standpipe Pump Station. Therefore, it is in the best interest of the City of Fort Stockton to obtain the services of the highest qualified general contractor to assist in providing the City with all the necessary tasks, including the construction, of the City's New Standpipe Pump Station. The scope will include providing complete detailed bids for construction of the City's New Standpipe Pump Station. The City would like proposals to include all aspects and tasks of the project including all the necessary equipment, fuel, equipment transportation, and personnel costs to build and construct the new facility. The proposed new pump station shall be a selfcontained pump skid unit as specified in this bid package. The existing building housing the pump station shall remain in place with some modifications for a new overhead door as shown on plans. All existing equipment, to the limits shown on plans, shall be removed from the building with the coordination of the Facility employees in order to prevent a backflow of water through the system while under construction. Onsite measurement verification shall be required before placing new pump skid to allow for an aligned mating to existing piping. Therefore, no new piping or fittings shall be installed until the pump skid is on site. The Bidder will be required to provide an itemized breakdown of the total project cost showing costs for hourly wages, per diem, lodging, and other expenses incurred. The Bidder will be paid by the City on schedules and deadlines agreed by both parties. If additional work will be required by Bidder outside the project scope, the Bidder must notify and get approval from the City Manager. The City Council reserves the right to accept the statement which, in its judgment is from the most responsible firm; to reject any or all statements; and to waive irregularities or informalities in any statement submitted.
