Reference Number 0000347468 The Engineer's estimated cost of construction is $165,000.00 The work consists, in general, of drainage improvements in the form of creating a valley gutter at the intersection of Alves Street and Leighton Street to alleviate drainage issues during heavy storms. There will also be street pavement grading at the intersection including full width grinding, placing HMA overlay, adjusting utility frames and covers to grade, protecting existing curbs, and performing other items or details, not mentioned above, that are required by the plans, and as specified in the Standard Specifications or these Special Provisions. The Contractor shall pay to the City of Hayward the sum of $500.00 per day in excess of the number of working days prescribed above, for each and every calendar day's delay in finishing the work. At the time this contract is awarded, the Contractor shall possess a Class A or a combination of any of the following license classifications which constitute a majority of the work: C-8 and C-12 license.
