As of June 21, 2024, this project has been awarded and all sub-bids received. Construction expected to start July 2024. Portland State University ("Owner") is accepting electronic bids for the Science & Education Center (SEC) Business Accelerator ("Project"). The Scope of Work ("Work") for the project is to update interior systems and finishes, lighting, plumbing (design/build), mechanical (design/build), etc., as described in the Construction Documents package. For a complete scope of work and details, refer to the full Construction Documents package including drawings and specifications. Prepare, implement, and document Owner Trainings for all applicable building systems and features included in the Scope of Work. As previously referenced, at the beginning of the project, a detailed construction schedule showing critical path and project milestones will be required. Site specific safety/logistics plans will be required outlining a lay down area for the storage of on-site materials. All proposed lay down areas will be reviewed and approved by the PSU Project Manager. Weekly OAC meetings will be required where the contractor is responsible for providing meeting minutes within two business days of the meetings being held. All sub-contractors, relevant to the construction work, are to be included as part of the General Contractor's team. These sub-contractors include, but are not necessarily limited to, hazardous materials abatement, mechanical, HVAC (design/build), plumbing (design/build), electrical, drywall, paint, floor finishes, etc. The on-site representatives for each of the aforementioned contractors will need to be included in the General Contractor's project directory that is to be provided to the PSU Project Manager.
