The Morgantown Utility Board (MUB) plans to upgrade and expand certain water, sewer, and storm facilities and seeks proposals from qualified Engineering Consultants for Professional Services necessary to provide Construction Inspection services for the proposed construction activities. Activities to be inspected may include but are not limited to construction of water mains, water booster stations, water storage tanks, tank painting, sewer mains, sewage pumping stations, storm mains, and related construction. The duration of the contract is anticipated to be for a period of one year but may be extended for up to two additional one-year periods if mutually agreed to in writing by both parties. The requested inspection services may be continuous, and/or may be intermittent "on call", depending on the needs of MUB at various times throughout the project. Based upon the review of the SOQ of each respondent, firms may be invited for interviews with the selection committee. Said interviews shall be by invitation only. The evaluation of respondents and the selection of any Consultant so chosen will be conducted on the basis of demonstrated competence and qualification for the described professional services, in accordance with West Virginia Code Chapter 5G.
