Description Pavement and base removal, drainage base, non-reinforced concrete surface and related items. All work under this contract shall be completed by Friday, August 9, 2024. Question Deadline 04/30/2024 09:00 AM CDT Engineers Opinion of Probable Cost: $195,000.00 - $200,000.00 *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. The successful bidder will be required to execute the contract within ten (10) days after the award of the work to him/her, and he/she shall furnish acceptable bond or surety, if not filed previously to the satisfaction of Concord Township, Ohio for the faithful performance of said contract in the sum of one hundred percent (100%) of the total amount of the bid. In case of failure to execute the contract as stated or to furnish bond and/or surety, the bidder shall be considered to have abandoned the contract and is then liable for the difference between his/her bid and the next lowest bid, not to exceed ten percent (10%) of the amount bid. Performance and Payment Bond: The Contractor agrees, if this proposal is accepted, to enter into a written contract within ten (10) days and to furnish a Contract Bond in a sum of not less than one hundred percent (100%) of the total price bid for the complete work, said bonds to be that of an approved surety company authorized to transact business in the State of Ohio and shall be underwritten by a surety that is listed on the most current Department of the Treasury Circular 570, "Surety Companies Acceptable on Federal Bonds". The Board of Concord Township Trustees reserves the right to reject any or all bids, or to increase or decrease or omit any item or items and/or to award to the lowest and/or best bidder SCOPE The Discovery Lane Reconstruction (approximately 435 feet) shall consist of the following items: A. Discovery Lane is an existing concrete road. Areas designated by the Engineer shall be removed and replaced with a 9” thick non-reinforced concrete pavement poured on a 3” layer of a drainable base with geotextile fabric. The existing subgrade may be mechanically stabilized as needed. The new pavement shall have an integral rolled curb and match the existing pavement elevations. Elevation adjustments of existing catch basin shall not be necessary unless directed by the Engineer. Damaged tree lawns shall be restored. B. The Contractor shall coordinate postal delivery with the local Postmaster. The Contractor shall prepare and present a plan to the Postmaster for approval of a method of postal delivery during construction. The approved plan shall be presented at the pre-construction meeting. All cost related to the maintenance of postal delivery service shall be considered incidental and included in the maintenance of traffic cost. C. A pre-construction conference shall be scheduled with the Office of the Lake County Engineer at least seven (7) days prior to the performance of this contract. D. The work covered by this specification consists of furnishing all plant, labor, equipment, and materials in performing all operations necessary for the Discovery Lane Reconstruction in complete and strict accordance with these specifications
