Renovation of an educational facility in Scottsboro, Alabama. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
This project consists of removal of the existing metal standing seam metal roof system on the barrel roof (23,500 SF) of the gymnasium and replacing it with rigid insulation and new TPO roof system. Estimated time allowed for completion of the work will be Ninety (90) calendar days from date of Notice to Proceed. A cashier's check or bid bond payable to SCOTTSBORO CITY SCHOOLS in an amount not less than five (5) percent of the amount of the bid, but in no event more than $10,000, must accompany the bidder's proposal. Performance and Payment Bonds and evidence of insurance required in the bid documents will be required at the signing of the Contract. Applications for pre- qualification must be received by the Architect by 5:00 PM CDT, Thursday, April 11, 2024, after which no further applications will be considered. The Owner will complete the pre-qualification process and name the general contractors who are approved to bid the Project by 5:00 PM CDT, Friday, April 12, 2024. Owner reserves the right to modify or abandon this pre-qualification process at any time prior to its completion should the interests of the Owner appear to be promoted thereby. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive technical errors if, in the Owner's judgment, the best interests of the Owner will thereby be promoted.
