Site work and paving for a playground / park / athletic field in Thompson, Connecticut. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; and for paving for a playground / park / athletic field.

As of June 11, 2024, project was awarded to B & W Landscaping and Paving LLC, at this point we anticipate starting the project in July 2024. Work under this contract includes two separate bid items: 1. Turntable Interpretive Area: clearing, masonry, earthwork, etc. 2. Parking Lot Area: earthwork, drainage, paving, signage, etc. Bidders may bid on either, or both bid items. The contractor who is selected to perform this State project must comply with CONN. GEN. STAT. 4a-60, 4a-60a, 4a-60g, and 46a-68b through 46a-68f, inclusive, as amended by June 2015 Special Session Public Act 15-5. State law requires a minimum of twenty-five (25%) percent of the state-funded portion of the contract be set aside for award to subcontractors holding current certification from the Connecticut Department of Administrative Services ("DAS") under the provisions of CONN. GEN. STAT. 4a-60g. (25% of the total state-funded value with DAS-certified Small Businesses and 6.25% of the total state-funded value with DAS-certified Minority-, Women-, and/or Disabled owned Businesses.) The contractor must demonstrate good faith effort to meet the 25% set-aside goals. No bidder may withdraw his bid within 90 days after the actual date of the bid opening. The Town reserves the right to reject any and all bids or any part thereof, to waive defects in the same, or to accept any proposal or any part thereof deemed to be in the best interest of the Town of Thompson, Connecticut. The Town may award the two parts of the contract to two different bidders. All bidders are requested to note that the award of this Contract is subject to the following conditions and contingencies: 1) The approval of such governmental agencies as may be required by law. 2) The appropriation of adequate funds by the proper agencies.
