North Plainfield Board of Education, Somerset County, New Jersey for the following School Facilities Project: Partial Roof Replacement at North Plainfield High School, East End Elementary School, and Stony Brook Elementary School PSA Commission Number 9584/9605/9606 35-3670-050-23-R501, 35-3670-060-23-R501, 35-3670-090-23-R502 Question Deadline 04/11/2024 Bidders shall direct questions in writing to Sara MacDonald at the office of Parette Somjen Architects L.L.C. by mail, by facsimile at 973.586.2401, or by email at smacdonald@planetpsa.com. Questions must be received by the Architect not later than three (3) business days prior to the deadline for last issuance of addenda. Pursuant to N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-21c(2), any replies or other revisions will be made only by written Addendum, and will be issued no later than seven (7) days (Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays excepted) before date set for receipt of Bids. The scope of this project includes, but is not limited to, the restoration of deteriorated roofing. The Contract Documents define the full project scope. Bids must be accompanied by bid security in the form of (1) a bid bond or certified or cashier's check payable to the North Plainfield Board of Education equal to 10% of the amount of the bid, but in no case to exceed $20,000.00. The successful bidder will be required to furnish additional bonds as specified in Document 00 21 13, "Instructions to Bidders." The Board of Education reserves the right to reject any non-responsive bids or all bids pursuant to N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-22 and to waive minor informalities or non-material exceptions, that may be in the best interest of the Board. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the opening date.
