A firm timeline has not been established. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: The City of Dallas, referred to as "the City," seeks experienced service providers for a long-term partnership to bridge the digital divide and enhance residents' quality of life through equitable access to digital resources. As outlined in the Dallas Broadband and Digital Equity Strategic Plan (BDESP), the vision is for "All households in Dallas will have highspeed, reliable internet, access to devices in their homes, and the knowledge and skills to navigate a digital world." The vision is aligned to the guiding principles of digital inclusion: 1. Affordable, robust broadband internet service; 2. Access to high-speed internet service; 3. Devices that are Internet-enabled devices to meet the needs of the end user; and 4. Participation in digital literacy training and quality technical support. This RFCSP aims to establish an eight-year initial contract with four three-year renewal options for Digital Equity Infrastructure and Last Mile Connectivity. The City is looking to select one or multiple solution/service providers qualified to design, build, deliver, and managing scalable fiber infrastructure to connect City facilities and high-priority unserved Census Tracts.
