SCOPE OF WORK The work shall consist of furnishing and delivering socket clamps, threaded rod, heavy hex nuts, socket clamp washers, and eye bolts, complete with all accessories necessary; all in accordance with the Contract Drawings, Specifications or as ordered by the Engineer 6" & 8" DUCTILE IRON WATERMAIN, CLASS 54, DOUBLE CEMENT LINED 1. SCOPE OF WORK Under this item, the Contractor shall furnish 6" and 8" Ductile Iron Watermain, Class 54, Double Cement Lined with all joints and other appurtenances as required. 2. MATERIALS a. General Watermain shall be of the sizes, types, and materials indicated by the Contract Documents. The general methods for the manufacture and transportation of watermain pipe shall be subject to the approval of the Engineer. All pipe shall be the product manufactured by an organization of good reputation, experienced in the manufacture of the specified type of pipe. The Contractor shall submit to the Engineer for approval the manufacturer's name with details of the pipe, fittings, and joint offered before ordering. Tests provided by ASTM, ANSI, or AWWA specifications will be made in the presence of or by representatives of the Engineer.
