Site work and renovation of a detention facility in Visalia, California. Working plans call for the renovation of a detention facility; and for site work for a detention facility.
**As of May 22, No bids were received. No definite date for the rebid.** The work to be performed is for the construction of three new recreational cages adjacent to the administration building. The cages will include a concrete pad and foundation, no climb fencing over galvanized structure steel, and partial metal deck roof structure. The cages will include Security Electronics and Detention Hardware and a combination toilet unit in each cage. Each bid shall be submitted individually on the Bid Forms that are provided in the Specifications along with accompanying documents and a Cashier's Check or Bid Bond for not less than ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the bid, sealed in an envelope marked with the bidder's name and business address, Project title and the scheduled time and date of the bid opening. It is the bidder's responsibility to print the necessary pages required for the bid. The successful bidder shall file with County a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond. The Project is to be completed within 180 calendar days from the date to be established in the "NOTICE TO PROCEED". The Agreement includes provisions for Liquidated Damages if the Project is not timely completed. The successful Bidder shall possess a Class "B" California Contractor's License at the time the bid is submitted and maintain that license until the Project is completed. After the time set for opening of bids, no bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days. The Board of Supervisors reserves the right to deem a bid non-responsive for any information crossed out from the bid packet including information completed by a manufacturer. The Board of Supervisors reserves the right to reject any or all bids, and/or waive any informality in any bid, and/or determine in its discretion the responsibility of any bidder.
