Electrical Upgrades at Southeastern Career Center The project will be bid as a single prime contract. Substantial completion: December 1, 2024 Each proposal must be accompanied by a certified check made payable to Southeastern Career Center in an amount not less than fi ve percent (5%) of the base bid, or an acceptable bidder's surety bond made payable to the Southeastern Career Center in an amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the bid, executed by a Surety Company authorized to do business in the State of Indiana. The certified check or Bidder's Bond shall be a guarantee that said bidder will, if the Contract is awarded to him, execute within ten (10) days from the acceptance of his proposal, a contract for the work bid upon, and furnish acceptable surety bonds as set forth in the Specifications. However, if the Contractor has not executed the Contract within the fifteen (15) day period or has failed to furnish acceptable surety bonds as indicated, the Owner reserves the right to award the contract to the most responsive and responsible bidder, and the bid security will be forfeited. No bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of sixty (60) days after the date set for the opening of bids. Attention of bidders is particularly called to the requirements as to conditions of employment. All bidders must conform with the anti-discrimination provisions of the Indiana law. If Plans and Specifications are returned after this ten (10) day limit, or in unusable condition, the deposit shall be forfeited to cover the cost of reproduction. It is mandatory that each prime contract bidder shall obtain one (1) complete set of bidding documents. Each prime contract bidder may obtain a maximum of three (3) complete sets of bidding documents where the deposit is refundable.
