Mardan Fabrication was used as the basis of design for the prefabricated buildings. Bidders are encouraged to consider other manufacturers that can provide an equivalent structure. Minor adjustments to the building dimensions are acceptable in order to utilize a standard unit size instead of a custom size. The manufactured buildings shall comply with the requirements of Florida Statute 553. Fabrication drawings shall be submitted for permitting, and drawings shall be electronically signed and sealed by a Professional Engineer licensed in the State of Florida. The manufacturer shall submit a certification letter from the State of Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation with the permit applications. The fabricated buildings shall have a State of Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation approval insignia to signify they comply with the Florida Manufactured Building Act, and they shall each have a manufacturer's data plate. The building layout and components shall comply with ADA requirements to provide accessibility. The buildings shall be delivered fully assembled to the site and shall have lifting points to enable the unit to be moved with a forklift. The awarded contractor shall be responsible for accepting delivery of the prefabricated buildings and for moving and protecting them onsite. The seven (7) guardhouses will be awarded to one contractor based on the cumulative total for all seven locations. Bids are required for each of the seven (7) locations, and any quote missing a bid for one of the locations will be disqualified. The District will NOT award the projects individually and will only award all seven (7) locations as one project. It is anticipated that fabrication and delivery of the prefabricated buildings will take several months. It is expected that the sitework and power will be completed prior to the delivery of the buildings and finalized when the buildings arrive.
