Proposals must be submitted on the blank forms furnished, and shall be in a sealed envelope, addressed to the Office of the Purchasing Agent, marked "RFP 24-22 Transportation and Disposal of Liquid Sewage Sludge and Scum." The Purchasing Division shall receipt stamp each proposal received. The date of the stamp shall prevail over any postmark date for those proposals that are mailed. The Town assumes no liability for any postal service delays. QUESTIONS DUE: No later than 12:00 P.M. May 1, 2024 via email to kKlein@groton-ct.gov This Request for Proposals is being issued to solicit proposals from qualified respondents willing to provide transportation and disposal of an estimated 850 to 950 dry tons of municipal wastewater sludge per year in a liquid form. The sludge concentration is 3% to 9% solids with up to 4.0% scum by volume. The sludge is generated from the Town of Groton Water Pollution Control Facility located on Gary Court in Groton, Connecticut.
