Cooling Tower Replacement - Clarksville High School, 151 Richview Rd., Clarksville, TN 37043 Completion- December 1, 2024. Project Description The Clarksville-Montgomery County School System (CMCSS) is seeking bids to install a four new Cooling Towers at Clarksville High School. Equipment must meet or exceed the following qualifications: o Four (4) BAC Model FXT-160/X cooling tower o Certified Capacity: 450.00 USGM of water 95.00 degrees F to 85.00 degrees at 78.00 degrees F entering air wet bulb (1800GPM total) o Fan Motors: one 7.5 HP fan motor(s) Totally enclosed, fan cooled (TEFC), (4 fan motors, 30 HP total) 1-speed/1 winding premium efficiency (inverter duty), suitable for 460 volt, 3 phase, 60 hertz electrical service and space heater. Drives are based on 0 inches ESP. o Note: Inverter duty motors, furnished in accordance with NEMA standard MG.1-part 31, are required for applications using variable frequency drives for fan motor control. o Forced draft, crossflow cooling tower o Unit Energy Efficiency per ASRRAE Standard 90.1-2016 o Steel Panels and structural members are constricted of galvanized steel with a stainless-steel cold-water basin. o PVC film wet deck material and drift eliminators o Top water inlet connection o End outlet pump suction connection o Mechanical float valve assembly o Electric immersion heater sized to maintain +40-degree F water at 0 degrees ambient with electrical requirements matching fan motors. o Copper heater elements o Heater control panel with contractor and disconnect o Galvanized steel air discharge screens. o Factory start-up o Two ABB HVFD variable frequency drives with: o 6-pulse drive package rated UL o NEMA type 1 Indoor rated encloser o Main input circuit breaker o E-Clipse bypass (vertical) o Rated for 7.5 HP at 480 VAC, three phase o Removal of current Cooling Tower is the responsibility of winning bidder (vendor) o DDC Control interface o 2-year parts and warranty Contractor is responsible for providing the following: o Four new BAC Model FXT-160X Cooling Towers o All labor, electrical and materials (including any welding) necessary to complete installation o All piping, gauges, insulation and BAS upgrades II.
