Escambia County is soliciting bids for the construction of a single-family dwelling per attached plans and written specifications. After construction is complete, the homes will be sold to an income-qualified homebuyer. The County Must require the successful Offeror(s) to furnish separate Performance and Payment bonds, under pledge of adequate surety and covering up to 100% of the dollar value of the award / an amount specified (i.e. $5,000.00) on the forms provided by the County. Such bonds shall be issued by sureties authorized to act as a surety by the State of Florida. The County may require the Contractor to furnish a Fidelity Bond to guarantee reimbursement to the County for losses resulting from proven acts of dishonesty by contract employees who handle cash or are exposed to opportunities for theft.
