Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Plainville, Connecticut. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.

CONTRACT 2023-16E- LOTCIP L109-004 The work under this Contract shall consist of the reconstruction of Whiting Street from Broad Street to North Street. Construction activities shall include repair of existing catch basins, elevation adjustment to utility structures, milling the existing pavement, replacing the existing pavement, curb installation and associated improvements. Each Bid must be accompanied by a Bid Guarantee in the form of a certified check or Bid Bond in the amount of 5% of the total amount of Bid. A performance Bond and a Labor and Materials Payment Bond will be required equal to the value of the contract. All sureties must be listed on the most recent IRS Circular 570. All bidders are required to inform themselves fully of the conditions relating to the construction and labor under which the work will be or is now being performed and the contractor shall employ as possible, such methods and means to carry out this work that does not cause interruption or interfere with any other contractor. All bids shall be accompanied by the Drug and Alcohol Testing Program Compliance Certification which is enclosed in the Bid Documents. No bids submitted without a completed Drug and Alcohol Compliance Certification will be considered for award This contract is subject to CHRO State set-aside and contract requirements. No Bid may be withdrawn until one hundred and twenty, (120), calendar days after the date of the opening of the Bids. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informality in the Bids: to reject any and all Bids, or to accept the Bid that in his judgement will be in the best interest of the Town of Plainville. Any request from the Bidder for interpretation of meaning of any Contract Documents shall be made in writing to the Town Engineer, Municipal Center, One Central Square, Plainville, Connecticut, 06062. Requests must be received at least seven (7) calendar days prior to the date established for opening of bids to be given consideration. MBE (13.7%), WBE (2.1%)
